UNVEILING THE BLESSEDNESS OF SALVATION PT1

INTRODUCTION

In the beginning, God created man in his image and after his likeness to excercise and enjoy dominion over other things that God had made. Unfortunately, man fell into the hands of Satan and sinned against God losing his authority to the devil.

Genesis  1:26

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Genesis  1:28

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Man fell into sin and lost his place in God. His authority and dominion was lost to Satan. He now realized that he was naked and became shameful.

Genesis  3:9 – 11

And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?

Man faced tough consequences of his sins which includes: being chased out of the garden, his comfort zone to suffer in order to earn  survival.

Death, sicknesses and diseases, barrenness, poverty, shame, etc. entered the world.

Man became naked and exposed to all kinds of oppressions and cruelty of the devil.

Romans  5:12

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

Ecclesiastes  4:1

So I returned, and considered all the oppressions that are done under the sun: and behold the tears of such as were oppressed, and they had no comforter; and on the side of their oppressors there was power; but they had no comforter.

Man in his fallen state was reduced to dust. It is the God factor in man that makes him relevant. Once man lost the God factor in him he became as dead as inanimate objects such as dust.

Genesis  3:19

In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

God decided to show mercy upon man after a long time of separation and became man in order to save man. God was the only qualified being to save man. He took the flesh of man upon himself in order to be able to rescue him and that is Jesus Christ, the Messiah.

Matthew  1:21

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Acts  26:18

To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
